SERVICE

Over the last years, I have had the opportunity to contribute to the growth of my school and the university adopting key leading roles and to the development of my profession and the community through different activities.
 
Service to the School and University
Currently, I serve as the Program Director of the M.Sc. Educational Leadership in School Education at Nazarbayev University, Graduate School of Education (NUGSE). In this role, I offer leadership to the faculty in the program in several areas, including education quality enhancement, student recruitment, and admissions, course and thesis supervisor allocation, and promotion of student services (e.g., psychological support, career center).
 
I also serve as a member of the NUGSE Research Committee.
 
In the past, I have served in the following roles:

  • Member of the NUGSE Curriculum Committee
  • Member of the NUGSE Student Trip Committee
  • Member of the Nazarbayev University Institutional Ethics Review Committee (IREC)
Service to the Community
My contribution to service extends beyond my membership to standing school and university committees and includes service to the community and the profession. I have contributed to the development of the professional skills of teachers and educators in Kazakhstan and had the opportunity to share my views on different education-related features connected to my areas of expertise by participating in national and international professional events.
  • At the moment, I serve as a Key Expert in the Education Modernization Project in collaboration with HAMK University in Finland. The project is funded by the World Bank and aims to strengthen initial teacher education in Kazakhstan. I provide support to a group of local pedagogical developers in the design and update of 30 updated initial teacher education curriculums in the areas of Psychology of Education, Inclusive Education, and Physical Education.
  • Over the years I have delivered multiple workshops, seminars, and webinars to develop participants' scholarly and professional skills, including effective email communication, research methodology, research dissemination and publications in academia, inclusive education practices, and the promotion of psychological well-being in young people, among many others.
